EC Teachers
Ms. Ange is originally from Zimbabwe. She holds a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood has a BA in Montessori Education. Ms. Ange has been working with children for almost 20 years in her home city of Harare, in Zimbabwe, as well as internationally in both England and Hungary. Her pedagogical practices have been shaped by her study of the Montessori method, social constructivist theorists and the Reggio Emilia approach. Ms. Ange is an advocate for play, and understands that children's brains keep developing, adapting and learning about the world, and finding new ways to enjoy it. She recognizes the importance of intentional play invitations and carefully crafted environments, to help children learn to experiment, ask questions and explore their interests. Ms. Ange believes children are strong and capable and aims to provide experiences that support the holistic development of all children. Ms. Ange is a trained Forest school teacher who enjoys taking the children into nature. When not in the classroom, Ms. Ange enjoys running, reading and teaching children yoga.

Georgina is from British Columbia, Canada and has taught Early Years Education both internationally and in Canada for the past 17 years. Throughout her career, Georgina worked both as an early years classroom teacher and early years administrator. Starting with her first class of Multi Aged students in Okayama, Japan, Georgina has lived and taught in many countries around the world with her sole focus being in early years education. After Japan she taught in Germany at the Dresden International School, Canada where she owned and operated her own preschool, Doha, Qatar at Al Jazeera Academy, China at Guangzhou Nanfang International School and at YPJ in Tembagapura, Indonesia. Georgina believes students are strong and capable and that one should never do for a child what they can do for themselves. She strives to create an environment where the whole child is educated in a safe and welcoming space. Georgina is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Early Childhood team and looks forward to meeting the students and their families.
Lucy has been teaching for 17 years, beginning her teaching career in London before moving to Singapore and Jeju island, South Korea. She has a deep interest in how young children learn and the importance of their surrounding environment. Lucy also has a deep respect for the Reggio Emilia approach which now lies within the core beliefs of her pedagogical practice. Lucy also visited Reggio Emilia as a participant in the 2014 International Study week which continues to spark her curiosity about documentation of children's learning in an authentic and meaningful way for children. Outside of school Lucy is learning to knit and also has a special interest in photography.

Nora is excited to start a new school year in Early Childhood at AISB. She has been working with young children for over 15 years. She loves her job and believes that her role is to support children's development by providing a happy, safe and secure learning environment. Nora believes that each child is infinitely capable, creative and intelligent and that the teacher's job is to support these qualities and challenge them.

Judit is very excited to start a new school year in Early Childhood at AISB. She has been working with young children for over 15 years. Since receiving her degree in teaching, Judit has been broadening her horizons by studying the pedagogy of Montessori and by exploring playful inquiry. She has always loved teaching young learners and finds it easy to build a good rapport with them. She is genuinely interested in her students and finds it extremely important to create an atmosphere where children feel safe and secure. Taking her students’ individual needs and interests into account is one of her main priorities. Judit believes that teaching and learning can be fun.

Mariann has worked at AISB for 10 years. She worked in Early Childhood before leaving for maternity leave. Mariann has returned to AISB with excitement as she strives to develop her understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. In her free time, Mariann enjoys spending time with her two young children and her husband.

Ms. Page is in her 7th year of teaching at AISB. Originally from Philadelphia, she is very happy to have found a home in Budapest and in the AISB Early Childhood, where she has been playing, loving, and learning for the past 4 years. Ms. Page believes that her students are competent, curious, interested learners filled with rich and creative ideas. Much of her inspiration for her teaching comes from the Reggio Emilia philosophy of Early Childhood Education. It is important to her to celebrate and encourage the wonder and excitement of childhood every day!

Catlin has always loved engaging with her community through the Arts, and appreciates the natural creativity of children. She has worked in outdoor schools, Montessori and international schools for 17 years as an arts specialist (dance, drama and art) and as a classroom teacher. She sees children’s sense of wonder as the entry to learning and appreciating our world. Catlin has her MA in Elementary Education and continues to enjoy learning from her students! She enjoys being in nature and sharing life with her family.

Tamas comes from Stockholm, Sweden. He has been working at AISB since 1998. Tamas has taught students all the way from Multiage to Grade 3. Here at AISB he has mostly worked in the Early Childhood as he believes this is the place to be! He is also the soccer goalkeeper coach for both Middle School and High School this year, where he will no doubt meet a few former students. Tamas enjoys most sports, reading, bicycling and just being outdoors. He loves animals and explores the surroundings of Nagykovacsi together with the family dog, Tikka. Tamas is very excited to begin a new year in Kindergarten and to learn more of and from his students.

Tímea was born in Budapest, Hungary. She began working at AISB in the Business Office. In 2011 she was offered an Assistant Teacher position within Early Childhood which she gladly accepted due to her love and passion towards children. Tímea believes in providing a caring and loving environment for nurturing young children. As a mother herself, she understands the importance of being a positive role model, inspiring and helping the child through their early years. Tímea enjoys biking, baking and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Emese has been working with children for over 10 years. Her passion for teaching comes from her own positive experience as a student and from a love of learning. Emese believes children learn best when given opportunities to explore the world around them. She strives to facilitate learning using children's natural curiosity, wonderings and interest. In her free-time Emese enjoys baking, gardening and yoga. She has a passion for Arts and loves to be creative with a range of mediums.

Elif is Turkish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language Teaching from Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. She has been teaching K-5 for 12 years. Holding a CELTA certificate, she has experienced teaching adults English, but her passion led her to teach young learners. Her approach to teaching and learning aligns with Reggio Emilio approach and Inquiry-Based Learning. As a mum and a teacher, she believes every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world
